Coco peat is a 100% natural growing medium. This coco peat dried in the natural sun, are processed to produce different items namely coco peat block, coco peat briquettes, coco peat tablets etc. Clean coir has natural rooting hormones and anti-fungal properties. Coco peat contains high amounts of lignin and cellulose that prevent it from decomposing and shrinking
- Holds 6x its weight in water
- There are 2 types :
1. Low EC : Salt content has been extracted (EC <1). Ready to use once it's soaked in water for expansion.
2. High EC : Salt content has not been extracted so multiple washes is required if it's meant for plants sensitive to salt content
Excessive salt content can negatively affect the growth of the plant.
Normal cocopeat requires multiple times of soaking in water to reduce salt content.
